My research focuses on the political economy of development. My work covers the study of judicial politics; affirmative action; women's political representation; and political selection in majoritarian elections in the U.S. and Mexico.

I have been an Economist at the Mexican Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Economy, and the Federal Electoral Court. I have also been a consultant for the World Bank, the Mexican Federal Judiciary, and a Data Analyst for Free our Vote and Xaber Educación.

Before my Ph.D. in Economics at Georgetown, I received a M.Sc. in Economics from University College London (with Merit) and a Bachelor (Licenciatura) in Economics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE).
